What is the Irondequoit Martial Arts Pro Shop?

The Irondequoit Martial Arts Pro Shop is our new online shop designed to take the headaches out of ordering equipment and merchandise. Designed with you in mind, we are working to eliminate long turn arounds and orders slipping through the cracks. With our new Pro Shop we have developed a much more systematic way to offer our customers the merchandise we have found to be the best selection. While we have designed this web store for our students, we have opened it up to provide our recommended products to anyone who is interested in purchasing them.

I got an email saying my item was on back order. What does that mean?

Because we are a small and growing business, we do not have the capacity to stock everything displayed in our shop. Therefore, many of the items in the shop are in a back order status. Each week we make an order from our suppliers to fill all orders that have been placed. Any orders placed after Wednesday are not guaranteed to be ordered until the following week, as weekly order lists are generated each Wednesday. For those of you who are students with us, this is simply a more refined and scheduled way of ordering merchandise as you have previously.  If the item you purchased is in stock, you will receive an email within 1 business day that your item is ready for pickup or to be shipped out. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we build our online storefront.

What happens when I purchase an item?

After you have selected an item you would like and have completed the checkout process, an order request is sent to our Pro Shop team to check availability. Once your purchase is complete you will receive a confirmation email with an order number. Shortly after that you will receive an email containing the status of your ordered item (in stock vs back order) which will include an estimated date that the order will be fulfilled and ready for pickup/ shipping

Do I have to ship my item or can I pick it up at the Dojo?

Both! All items can be picked up at the dojo or shipped to your address (standard shipping rates may apply). After you find the item you want continue through the checkout process and select the option you prefer! If you choose to pick it up at the dojo, please bring a reference number and photo ID. It is our policy not to release any paid merchandise to anyone except the buyer with photo ID and proof of purchase. If you plan on having someone else pick your item up, please notify us via the special request box in the checkout process.

When can I pick up my item? When will it be shipped?

Any item that is in stock will be ready for pickup or to be shipped out in 1-2 business days. Back ordered items are expected to arrive every Tuesday, as long as the order was placed in the store by Wednesday the week prior. (Items are about one week away)
